IT'S A GIRL THING

I had to feel for Caitlin last week as she announced that her best friend at College was moving to Auckland in the school holidays. Well we were gutted.

It has taken Caits all year to make a couple of special friends and now one of them was shifting. Naturally a pyjama party was in order, so after school last Friday, off they went to purchase, nail polish, facemasks, a horror movie and other 'girl stuff' in order that they could say their goodbyes accordingly.

Four hours, one vegetarian pizza and two DVDs later, screams could be heard coming from our lounge - yes, they had frightened themselves half to death and bed just wasn't an option .... but photos were ...

Seriously, these girls had so much fun and better still, thanks to a digital camera, they have a record for posterity... in fact, my 'too cool to scrap' thirteen yr old has even suggested that she create a mini album for them both... ha ha, see ... scrapping happens to the best of us!

What a great time. As Janine said - thank goodness for computers now and you can always get Skype as well. Then they can talk and surf at the same time for only the internet cost.

Wowee those photos definately need to be scrapped! Thats a real shame her friend is moving but they can text/msn? each other so Im sure they will keep their friendship alive. Tell her that even though one is moving away ..one possible friend is starting at her school next term.
