A LOSS AND A GAIN

Welcome to 2010! What a fantastic Christmas and New Year we had - I didn't go back to work until last Friday (boy was that first day, a long day) and Craig went back this week before he goes to Bangkok for his annual conference on Sat.

Yes,for the first time in five years, we went to other people's places for Xmas lunch AND dinner which was a real treat and apart from the usual logistical nightmares of having kids who have to be other places, everything went along swimmingly.

Unfortunately Gucci Designer Cat has done his annual disappearing act and has now been missing for 12 days which is extremely worrying given this crappy weather we're having. Saying that, we are accumulating animals like they are going out of fashion, Craig's cat - Peppy is back with us after an eight month sojourn to nana's place and Halo is keeping the new labrador puppy (Rory) under control. Rory is 14 weeks old and has only been home with us for a week. What a difference having a slightly older puppy - he is already showing huge potential with his obedience although he is just so darn cute, it is pretty difficult to get cross .... even when he stripped the tomato plant of new fruit and batted it around the back yard grrrr. When Gucci comes back (and I say 'when' because I am ever hopeful), he will have a wee bit of adjusting to do.

Having a house to unpack hasn't given me a huge amount of time for scrapping but now that we have our own rumpus room, you can guarantee that as soon as a decent sized desk has found it's way out there - it will be fully utilisedSpeaking of which, I really need to go through and have a good clean out - some of those papers are well past their use by dates.
